David + I talked about "van life" for years!! We dreamt about it even before moving into our first home together (a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house) back in 2018. When the conversation about what to do for our honeymoon came up, we decided to use the two week vacation to give it a try! We wanted to see what life on the road was really like...
So, we scoured the internet for van rental companies and found Van Craft. A small business with converted camper vans available for rent and located in San Diego, California! (They also have 2 other locations in Salt Lake City, Utah and Denver, Colorado.)
It turned out that renting a converted camper van was the perfect honeymoon trip! Our Mercedes Sprinter Van came equip with everything we needed: a queen sized bed, stove and cookware, fridge, solar power, a sink, plenty of storage and we even added a portable cartridge toilet (that we actually never used out of fear for having to empty a pee container in public - YIKES). 😳 The day after our Sedona elopement, we flew to San Diego and picked up our van!! We were so excited to embark on our dream honeymoon as a married couple!!
